I am feeling very hopeful today. I met my oncologist, Dr. Dorand, on Friday. He made it very clear that a 3rd biopsy would not change the outcome of my treatment plan, anyway, based on what he is seeing.
Based on my pathology reports, he believes chemotherapy would be over-treatment at this point. He advises surgery first because he doesn’t see much evidence of invasive cancer. He is working on contacting another surgeon who may be able to perform my surgery sooner, as well. I feel at peace knowing the general timeline and that Dorand is my oncologist.
Looking forward to a lighter weekend.
